Introduction to Halfway to London

Hi there! I am Carrie Mitchell, chef and co-owner at London Calling Pasty Company in Springfield, MO. In 2006, I ate my first Cornish Pasty in a train station in London and I fell in love with the pasty. In my journey developing a restaurant menu  based around the pasty I was introduced to other wonderful British foods and traditions. It is my goal to share my love of these great British dishes and the ingredients that make them great with you. I will also be commenting on the fun and historical connections between American and British cuisines from a Midwest American perspective.  And there will be some “bits and bobs” about creating menu items at London Calling Pasty Company.  If you are a fan of London Calling, a cook, a foodie, a lover of all things British or all of the above I invite you to join me at Halfway to London.
